Dozens of PTI workers arrested during protest

ISLAMABAD: Tehreek-e-Insaf staged a nationwide protest until Imran Khan’s demand for the resignation of three people was met. C and the police arrested several workers.

According to Leading News, PTI Secretary General Asad Umar had announced in a tweet that there will be a protest in the entire country today after Friday prayers. Nationwide protests will continue until Imran Khan’s demand is met.

According to his statement, PTI workers started protesting in different cities of the country after Friday prayers, blocked roads and burnt tires. In particular, fierce slogans were raised against Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Rana Sanaullah.

A protest procession took place in Rawalpindi under the leadership of Sheikh Rasheed’s nephew Rashid Shafiq. The participants raised slogans and protested till Committee Chowk.

In Pindi itself, the GT Road was blocked near Chak Belly Morr and fierce protests were held. Passengers are facing problems due to the closure of GT Road on both sides. There is a heavy presence of the Motorway Hollis and District Police on the occasion of the protest. Protesters raised anti-government slogans and set fire to tires to block the road. Queues of vehicles were formed due to the protest. Motorway police started efforts to clear one lane.
