Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar chaired a high-level meeting on Wednesday to review the availability and prices of sugar across the country.
The meeting discussed measures to ensure stable sugar prices and adequate market supply, with a focus on protecting consumers from artificially inflated rates caused by hoarding or profiteering.
Participants included Minister for National Food Security Rana Tanveer Hussain, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Bajwa, Secretaries of Industries and Commerce, Chairman TDAP, Chief Secretary of Balochistan, officials from the Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP), and representatives of provincial food departments.
