Renowned religious scholar Dr Zakir Naik, currently on a nearly month-long visit to Pakistan, praised the warmth and hospitality of the Pakistani people, remarking that “the people of Pakistan are very loving and caring.” His comments came during a meeting with National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq at the Parliament House in Islamabad on Tuesday.
Dr Naik emphasized the need for Muslim countries to put aside their differences and unite under the teachings of the Holy Quran and Sunnah to confront the challenges facing the Muslim Ummah. He reiterated that Islam is a religion of peace, love, and brotherhood, and his mission is to spread the true message of peace across the globe.
Dr Zakir Naik also commended Pakistan’s role in promoting the true teachings of Islam and fostering unity among Muslims. The NA Speaker echoed these sentiments, urging the Muslim Ummah to unite and work collectively to spread Islam’s message of peace worldwide.

The two leaders discussed the issues facing the Muslim community, interfaith harmony, and other significant challenges. Speaker Sadiq welcomed Dr Naik and lauded his efforts to spread Islam’s message globally, highlighting that Pakistan’s Constitution guarantees equal rights to all citizens, including minorities.
During his visit, Dr Naik, accompanied by Speaker Sadiq, toured the National Assembly Hall. Later, he met Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman at his residence in Islamabad. Dr Naik expressed his commitment to spreading Islam’s true message of peace and unity.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman praised Dr Naik’s contributions to promoting Islam, stating, “Islam is the complete code of life,” and emphasized that Islamic teachings advocate peace, tolerance, and love. Both leaders agreed on the importance of unity for overcoming the challenges faced by the Muslim world.
