Dubai GDRFA Hosts Vibrant Eid Celebration to Honor Workers

Dubai: In a heartfelt tribute to the hardworking individuals who play a vital role in the emirate’s success, the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai hosted an extravagant Eid celebration for blue-collar workers. The two-day event, held in the Al Quoz area, brought together over 20,000 attendees, including prominent Bollywood celebrities, to celebrate the spirit of Eid.

Themed “Let’s Celebrate Eid Together,” the grand festivities were organized to honor the immense contributions of workers from various countries, including India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, and Nepal. These workers, who are integral to Dubai’s rapid growth and development, were at the heart of the celebrations.

The event was spearheaded by Major General Obaid Muhair bin Suroor, Assistant Director-General of GDRFA Dubai, and Colonel Omar Matar Al Mazaina, Assistant Director of the Work Regulation Sector. The vibrant celebration featured a series of music and dance performances, cultural presentations, and the highly anticipated distribution of prizes. The prizes included valuable rewards such as cars, gold bars, and return air tickets, further adding to the joyous occasion.

Speaking at the event, Major General Obaid Muhair bin Suroor expressed that the celebration was a gesture of gratitude toward the workers who have made significant contributions to the city’s success.
