DUBAI: The Dubai Police, represented by the Criminal Training and Development Department at the General Department of Criminal Investigation, has been officially accredited by the International Association of Directors of Law Enforcement Standards and Training in the United States for fully meeting the high standards of international standards for training.
The accreditation makes Dubai Police Criminal Training and Development Department the first in the Middle East to obtain this accreditation.
The accreditation certificate was received by Lieutenant Colonel Ali Ahmed Al Loughani, Director of the Criminal Training and Development Department, and Captain Mariam Al Kaabi, Head of the Training Impact Assessment Section, during the association’s annual conference held in the United States.
His Excellency Major General Jamal Salem Al Jallaf, Director of the General Department of Criminal Investigations, said: “Obtaining this international accreditation is a remarkable accomplishment that adds another feather to the cap of Dubai Police and enhances their track record of achievements.”
Al Jallaf reconfirmed that Dubai Police is committed to enhancing and developing security work with the best competencies by adopting a scientific methodology that elevates performance and efficiency levels by implementing advanced systems in technical, training, and technological fields.
He also praised the partnership with the International Association of Directors of Law Enforcement Standards and Training, which is concerned with promoting justice and training standards and conducts audits on training, security, and safety procedures to disseminate the best global training practices.
