Dubai Police Organises Health and Safety Event for Employees

DUBAI: In line with the World Day for Safety and Health at Work, Dubai Police recently organised an awareness event, health screenings, and consultations for the force’s officers and employees.

Aimed at promoting workplace health, safety and well-being, the event was organised by the Rehabilitation and Readiness Centre (R4) in the General Department for Community Happiness in collaboration with the General Department for Human Resources, the Human Resources Council, the Happiness and Positivity Council, and the Al Qusais Police Station.

Colonel Abduladhim Kamkar, Director of the R4 Centre, emphasised that the event, held at Al Qusais Police Station, is part of Dubai Police’s ongoing commitment to participate in and celebrate international health days that contribute to enhancing the health and safety of employees.

He added that this event also aligns with Dubai Police’s strategic goals of promoting community happiness, security, and safety by ensuring employees’ physical and mental readiness to perform their duties.

Colonel Kamkar stated that the event included educating employees about healthy eating habits, general workplace safety guidelines, and proper sitting posture. Experts from the R4 Centre and private sector health organisations also provided the force’s employees with physical therapy consultations, foot examinations, diabetes tests, blood pressure checks, and more.

Fatima Alanjawi, Head of the Physical Therapy Section at the R4 Centre, confirmed the participation of specialised health and nutrition entities in the event. These included ‘Dr Nutrition’, which presented information on healthy foods and supplements that contribute to maintaining overall health and safety, as well as offering employees exclusive discounts of up to 70 percent on their products. Furthermore, ‘Biofoot’ provided information on medical foot assessments and how to deliver medical solutions.
