DUBAI: The Dubai Police’s community-based initiative ‘Positive Spirit’ has brought the joy of Eid Al-Adha to 15,000 workers through various events and activities.
Launched in collaboration with the Event Security Committee, the Police Station Directors Council, and the Permanent Committee for Labour Affairs in Dubai, the initiative featured diverse activities during the Eid holiday for workers across several areas in the Emirate of Dubai, including Al Quoz, Jebel Ali, and Al Muhaisnah. Activities included sporting events, cultural competitions, awareness lectures, and sessions introducing the services of Dubai Police.
Brigadier Dr. Ahmad Yusuf Al Mansouri, Acting Director of the General Department of Community Happiness and Acting Head of the ‘Positive Spirit’ initiative, emphasised that the diverse activities aimed to bring joy to the worker community during the Eid Al-Adha holiday.
“This is part of the ‘Positive Spirit’ initiative’s objective of engaging with different segments of society through implementing numerous community, awareness, and cultural initiatives, in addition to organising sports competitions that provide substantial health and psychological benefits and enhance social relationships.
Fatima Buhejir, Coordinator of the ‘Positive Spirit’ initiative, further illustrated how the initiative contributes to achieving the strategic goal of the Dubai Police in enhancing security, safety, and societal communication with all segments of the society. She stressed the social role that the Dubai Police performs, thanking all contributors to the success of the events during the Eid Al-Adha holiday.
