DUBAI: The General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) Dubai will organise the Labour Run 2026 on Sunday, January 25, at Quranic Park, in cooperation with the Dubai Sports Council, reaffirming its commitment to workers’ health and physical wellbeing.
Held under the theme “Together, We Run to Support Workforce Health,” the event is expected to draw thousands of workers from various professional sectors across the emirate. The run will begin at 7:30am and includes multiple race categories: 6km and 3km runs for men, and a 3km run for women, promoting wide participation and inclusivity.

GDRFA Director General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri said the initiative reflects Dubai’s strong commitment to the welfare of the labour community, describing workers as a cornerstone of the UAE’s sustainable development and progress. He said recognising and valuing their contributions is a shared responsibility, adding that such sporting events foster unity and happiness while reinforcing the UAE’s message of social inclusion.
Deputy Director General of GDRFA Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Permanent Committee for Labour Affairs Obaid Muhair bin Suroor said the primary aim of the Labour Run is to help ensure better living conditions and a positive working environment for workers. He noted that the event provides an opportunity for participants to focus on physical fitness and social interaction, which in turn supports productivity and mental wellbeing.
Carrying the message “Super Fit Workforce, Super Hit Workforce,” the seventh edition of the Labour Run has seen extensive preparations. The initiative is being supported by several entities, including Dubai Municipality and the Takhdeer Award, highlighting strong cooperation between government bodies and partner organisations to promote workforce welfare.
