DUBAI: Dubai’s General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA Dubai) held special welcoming activities for visitors from the Sultanate of Oman as part of the United Arab Emirates’ celebrations of strong fraternal relations between the two countries.
The initiative took place at the Hatta border crossing and Dubai International Airport, where Omani visitors were greeted with a commemorative passport stamp and symbolic gifts to mark the occasion. The gesture was aimed at reflecting the spirit of goodwill, brotherhood and hospitality that defines UAE-Oman relations.

Senior officials attended the celebrations, including Major General Ahmed Mohammed bin Thani, Director General of the Dubai Environment and Climate Change Authority, Brigadier Nabil Mohammed Al Qergawi, Deputy Assistant Director General for Maritime and Land Ports Affairs, and Colonel Dr Rashid Obaid Al Ketbi, Director of the Land Ports Passport Control Department, along with several other officials and staff members.

Director General of GDRFA Dubai, Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, said the celebration symbolised the historical and brotherly ties between the two nations. He stated that the relationship between the UAE and Oman goes beyond shared borders and is rooted in generations of mutual respect and unity.

He added that the entry experience for visitors is a reflection of the UAE’s identity and values, and every guest should leave with a positive first impression.
Through this initiative, GDRFA Dubai reaffirmed its commitment to providing high-quality, people-focused services and strengthening Gulf cooperation, while promoting the UAE’s image as a country that places hospitality and brotherhood at the center of its policies and values.
