ECP summoned Senator Ishaq Dar in disqualification case

Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has summoned the Federal Minister on January 9 to pronounce the reserved decision in the Senate disqualification case of Finance Minister Ishaq Dar.

According to details, ECP also issued a notice to Ishaq Dar. The notice addressed Ishaq Dar and asked him to appear before the Election Commission on January 9 himself or through the Council.

It should be noted that on December 26, 2022, the Election Commission had reserved the decision to declare Ishaq Dar’s seat vacant for not taking the oath of membership of the Senate, which will now be issued on January 9.
