Dubai is celebrating Eid Al Fitr 2025 in a grand and festive manner, offering a unique experience for both residents and visitors. The city, known for its dazzling celebrations, is going beyond the traditional lighting of landmarks like the Burj Khalifa and the Clock Tower to spread the festive joy to everyone.
This year, the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) has introduced two special initiatives designed to make visitors feel welcome as they arrive at Dubai International Airport. In a heartwarming gesture, the GDRFA distributed 1,000 copies of ‘To Be the First,’ the authorized biography of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai. These books were gifted to travelers arriving at the airport, offering a personal and insightful look into the leadership and vision of Dubai’s beloved ruler.
The initiative was launched during a special field tour by Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of GDRFA, at Dubai International Airport. The tour was part of an effort to ensure smooth operations and swift processing for arriving travelers, especially during the busy Eid period. Al Marri also took the opportunity to visit the airport’s passport control officers and staff, extending his Eid greetings and commending their hard work in ensuring a seamless experience for passengers.
As Dubai celebrates Eid Al Fitr 2025, the city’s focus remains on extending hospitality, showcasing its remarkable culture, and making every guest feel special, whether they’re visiting for the holidays or passing through its iconic airport.
