Lahore: Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervez Elahi has signed the summary of dissolution of Punjab Assembly and sent it to the Governor for implementation.
According to leading news, after taking the vote of confidence, Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi reached Zaman Park to meet Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan. In the meeting, the two leaders discussed the dissolution of the Punjab Assembly and the future road map while consulting on the political plan of action.
On the other hand, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Fawad Chaudhry has confirmed that Parvez Elahi has signed the summary regarding the dissolution of the Punjab Assembly. He said that Imran Khan has fulfilled his promise, now PTI will go towards elections and Pakistan is also moving towards general elections.
Fawad Chaudhry said that if the governor does not dissolve the assembly on summary, then the assembly will dissolve itself in 48 hours, after which caretaker government will come and elections will be held in 90 days. He said that after Punjab, the assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will also be dissolved. Fawad Chaudhry said that a letter has also been written to Hamza Shehbaz for the caretaker government.
The PTI leader said that the federal government should now come out of its bill and come towards the elections.
Special Assistant to the Prime Minister and PML-N Member of Parliament Atta Tarar said that the governor of Punjab has not yet received the summary of dissolution of the assembly, when the governor of Punjab receives the summary, he will announce the next action plan.
On the other hand, PML-Q leader Munis Elahi said in his tweet on the social networking site that “Punjab has fulfilled its promise to dissolve the assembly and issued an official recommendation, God willing, we will soon see Imran Khan as the prime minister again.”
