Elahi will not remain CM if Session didn’t held, PMLN

Lahore: The PML-N and its allies have agreed that if the Punjab Assembly session is not held tomorrow and the Chief Minister does not take the vote of confidence, then the Governor will issue a notification for the election of a new Chief Minister.

An important consultative meeting of the Muslim League (N) and its allies was held in the Punjab Assembly regarding the meeting called on Wednesday. Governor Punjab Balighur Rehman, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, Malik Ahmed Khan, Tariq Bashir Cheema, Chaudhry Salik Hussain and Aoon Chaudhry attended the meeting.

In the meeting, there was a consultation on the issue of declaring the meeting called by the Governor illegal by the Speaker. The participants opined that tomorrow’s meeting is completely constitutional and legal and Parvez Elahi must get a vote of confidence in it in any case. If the meeting is not held or if the Chief Minister does not take the vote of confidence, Chaudhry Parvez Elahi will not be able to retain his position.

Party sources say that if the Chief Minister does not remain in his position, the Governor of Punjab will issue a notification for the election of a new Leader of the House.

Meanwhile, while talking to the media after the meeting, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah said that the position of Speaker Punjab Assembly regarding not calling the meeting is wrong, this is against the constitution, the Governor can call the meeting of the Assembly, if four If the meeting is not held and Chief Minister Punjab does not take the vote of confidence, then the Chief Minister will not be able to continue in his post, even if the meeting is not held, the Chief Minister will have to take the vote of confidence.

He said that Chaudhry Pervez Elahi kept giving decades that 99 percent of people want the assemblies not to be dissolved, then what would have happened if the no-confidence motion did not come, Parvez Elahi himself says that he is not in favor of dissolving the assemblies.
