DUBAI: It’s been a little over a month since Emirates Draw announced its latest grand prize winners, with back-to-back EASY6 and FAST5 wins. The excitement is still strong with international participants hoping to be the next grand prize winner.
From EASY6 to FAST5 and MEGA7, Emirates Draw offers something for everyone, with grand prizes worth millions and guaranteed raffle prizes up for grabs every week.
This past week saw winners from all walks of life, with some particularly remarkable stories to share.
MEGA7: Dean Simons
Imagine winning not once but twice in the same Raffle Draw! That’s exactly what happened to Dean Simons, a 55-year-old entrepreneur from Hinckley, Leicestershire, UK. Dean, who owns a software development company,
“I was actually interrupted by a phone call while purchasing my ticket, so I later went back to the app to finish buying the rest of my tickets. That was probably how it happened!” recalls the father of two, who chose the quick-pick option when selecting his numbers.
Dean had won multiple times before and now, with an extra AED 20,000 in his bank account thanks to Emirates Draw MEGA7, he will be using his win to continue participating in hopes of winning the AED 100 million Grand Prize, the largest Grand Prize in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.
FAST5: Sinu Mathew
AED 50,000 FAST5 Raffle Draw winner Sinu Mathew, a 41-year-old private company employee, has been living and working in Kuwait for the past 23 years. Originally from Kerala, India, Sinu has been a loyal player since Emirates Draw started in 2021.
“It was a very blessed day for me! I found out about my win through YouTube and had to double check the Emirates Draw app a few times to be sure,” he shares.
While Sinu hasn’t decided what to do with his prize yet, his win has motivated him to keep playing and to encourage others to join in.
EASY6: Garly James Mella & Mahbubur Rahman
Over the weekend, at 8pm Qatar time, Garly James Mella sat down to have dinner, surrounded by friends and family. What were they all doing?
“I know my chosen numbers by heart. I’ve been playing since September last year using the same set of numbers every single time, as they match my family’s birthdays. So, when I saw the numbers being called out by the presenters on the TV, I knew immediately I had won, and it was an incredible feeling!” mentions the 32-year-old electrical engineer.
Living in Doha since 2016, Philippine native Mella found out about Emirates Draw through friends. While he has no concrete plans for his AED 50,000 win in the Main Draw, he knows it will go towards his family, as those are the people, he truly cares about most.
Then there’s Mahbubur Rahman, a 30-year-old driver from Bangladesh living in Muscat, Oman. He bought his first AED 15 ticket last week and won AED
“I was at the supermarket with my brother, and my friend called to tell me I had won. I got angry with him at first because I thought it was a prank, but after watching the live draw replay, I realized it was true,” he comments.
With this win, Rahman will now be able to visit his family back home and provide them with the support they need ‘For A Better Tomorrow’ thanks to Emirates Draw.
The excitement doesn’t end here! The next games are just around the corner, streaming live from February 9 to 11 at 9pm UAE time on Emirates Draw’s digital platforms including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and its official website.
