Rawalpindi: The hotel and restaurant action committee rejected the decision to close the business at 8 pm under the energy-saving program, and the hotel owners threatened to surround the Prime Minister’s House.
President Hotel and Restaurant Association Muhammad Farooq Chaudhry said that the decision to close the business at 8 pm is equivalent to the economic murder of hotel and restaurant businessmen. What is a unilateral decision, we completely reject the unilateral decision of the government.
He said that we had submitted suggestions to the government that restaurants, hotels, bakers and other businesses should be allowed till 11 pm. There is a storm of inflation, such decisions will further increase the economic problems, we are fully supporting the government in the energy-saving program.
He said that we should be allowed to do business till 11 pm. We are ready to use generators instead of electricity. We will consider other options including solar energy during the day for the country’s problems and energy saving. Take back the decision and follow the suggestions of the business community.
The chairman of the Hotel and Restaurant Association said that if the government does not withdraw its decision, the business community will protest across the country. The entire business community is united on the government’s decision.
