England’s 2nd time champion of T20 World Cup

Melbourne: England won the T20 World Cup by defeating Pakistan by 5 wickets in the final of the T20 World Cup.

In the final of the mega event played in Melbourne, England captain Jos Buttler won the toss and invited Pakistan to bat. The openers of the national team looked troubled from the beginning. Scored 137 runs for the loss of 8 wickets.

In pursuit of the target, England did not start well, opener Alex Hales lost his wicket early after making one run, captain Jos Buttler scored 26, Phil Salt 10 and Harry Brooks 20, but Ben Stokes showed responsible batting in the middle order. He played an innings of 52 runs with the help of 5 fours and a six and led the team to victory.

On behalf of Pakistan, Haris Rauf took 2 wickets while Shaheen Shah Afridi, Shadab Khan and Mohammad Wasim Jr took one wicket each.

Earlier, the openers of the national team failed, while the middle order also failed to show any sufficient performance, captain Babar Azam scored 32 runs and Shan Masood scored 38 runs, among other players, Muhammad Rizwan 15, Muhammad Haris 8, Shadab Khan 20, Muhammad Nawaz. 5, Mohammad Wasim Jr. 4, Iftikhar Ahmed returned to the pavilion on zero.

On behalf of England, Sam Curran took 3, Adil Rashid and Chris Jordan took 2, 2 while Ben Stokes took one wicket.
