During the fair, ERRA will host an awareness workshop titled “Authors’ Rights in the Age of Artificial Intelligence – From Challenges to Solutions,” which will examine the impact of AI on creative rights and intellectual property. The session will explore the challenges faced by authors amid the rise of generative technologies and discuss how legal frameworks can balance innovation with creators’ rights protection.
Additionally, ERRA will hold a dialogue session titled “Transformations in Rights Protection – From Traditional Publishing to the Digital Environment,” addressing the evolving landscape of copyright protection from print to digital and AI-driven formats. The discussion will focus on the role of collective management organizations in adapting to technological change, ensuring fair financial returns for creators, and fostering a vibrant creative economy.
Through its participation, ERRA reaffirms its commitment to strengthening cooperation with authors, publishers, and cultural institutions, contributing to the growth of an advanced and inclusive cultural ecosystem that values intellectual property and supports the publishing industry across the UAE and the region.
