Karachi: The Ministry of Commerce has extended the period of 45 days for imports with Afghanistan in Pakistani rupees which had expired on December 31, 2022.
The Ministry of Commerce has also issued a formal notification to extend the period of imports. According to the notification, a mechanism for barter trade with Afghanistan is being prepared by the Ministry of Commerce and some time is still required for the preparation of this mechanism.
According to the notification, pending the preparation of the new system, an extension of 45 days has been extended till February 14, 2023 to make the imports with Afghanistan in Pakistani Rupees. The exemption has been increased.
