Rawalpindi: Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa paid farewell visit to various setups of Army Medical Corps including CMH.
According to the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army (ISPR), Surgeon General of the Pakistan Army Lt. Gen. Nigar Johar also accompanied the Army Chief during the visit.
Army Chief visited Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Rawalpindi, Major General Mohammad Mohsin Qureshi Commandant CMH briefed him about the latest medical facilities.
According to ISPR, the army chief was briefed on the methods of medical care and was told that patient care is the focus of the hospital administration. Special counters have also been set up for the convenience of civilian/non-deserving patients.
Efforts are being made to provide patient-friendly environment and provide relevant facilities for patient attendants.
On the occasion, the Army Chief was also shown the newly established control room at the Academic Center to train doctors through live surgery process. The Army Chief appreciated the efforts of the Army Medical Corps.
According to the ISPR, the Medical Corps is providing quality healthcare and state-of-the-art rehabilitation services to the armed forces, their families, and civilian patients, among other facilities, providing uninterrupted medical facilities to martyrs’ families and veterans. Provides basic health facilities.
Facilities include blood sampling, medicines and check-ups for families of martyrs and senior veterans up to 75 years of age.
On this occasion, the Army Chief also laid the foundation stone of the new training block of the Armed Forces Post Graduate Institute, later the Army Chief inaugurated the newly constructed soldiers’ guest rooms, the newly established Army Help Center, and the Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology. Also visited the upgraded facilities.
The Army Chief appreciated the selfless dedication to duty and work of the AMC doctors and healthcare professionals, the Army Chief appreciated the improvements being made in the healthcare infrastructure.
The Army Chief said that quality healthcare for soldiers and their families is a key feature of the Army’s welfare system and is important for the morale of the soldiers.
Earlier, Corps Commander Rawalpindi Lieutenant General Sahir Shamshad Mirza welcomed the Army Chief on his arrival at CMH.
