ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) held its 38th Awards and Prizes Distribution Ceremony at the Board Auditorium to honour outstanding students of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) First Annual Examinations 2024.
Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui was the chief guest at the ceremony, attended by educationists, principals, parents, and position-holding students who brought pride to the nation through their achievements.
A total of 26 top-performing students from institutions affiliated with FBISE in Pakistan and abroad were awarded laptops, medals, merit certificates, and cash prizes purely on merit.
In his welcome address, Chairman FBISE Dr. Ikram Ali Malik congratulated the students for their discipline, hard work, and perseverance. He said their achievements reflect Pakistan’s youth’s determination to excel globally through creativity, intelligence, and strong moral values.
Dr. Ikram highlighted that FBISE is integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based assessment systems and modern technologies into its examination processes to align with national education goals. He reaffirmed the Board’s commitment to transparency, international quality standards, and merit-based recognition.
Addressing the ceremony, Federal Minister Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui lauded the students’ outstanding performance and praised the Board’s transparency and credibility. He emphasized that knowledge, research, and self-reformation form the foundation of human progress, recalling the divine command “Iqra” (Read) as a timeless reminder that knowledge is the key to success.
The minister said Pakistan must lead by example in education and progress as an ideological and forward-looking nation. He added that through honesty, hard work, and advancement in science and technology, Pakistan can overcome every challenge.
Dr. Siddiqui congratulated the award recipients, their parents, and teachers, assuring that the government would continue supporting institutions that uphold quality and transparency in education. He also praised the FBISE administration for organizing a dignified event that reflects the Board’s long-standing tradition of excellence.
He concluded, “If we are determined to change ourselves, Allah will help us,” pledging to create an educational environment where Pakistan’s youth lead the nation’s progress through knowledge, character, and competence.
