Islamabad: FIA summoned PTI Chairman and former Prime Minister Imran Khan for investigation into banned account and cipher audio leaks.
According to the sources, Lahore FIA and Rawalpindi FIA have summoned Imran Khan from Rawalpindi office on November 3 and Lahore office on November 7.
FIA Rawalpindi has issued a summons notice to Chairman PTI Imran Khan to investigate the cipher audio leaks, in which Imran Khan has been directed to appear at the FIA headquarters on November 3 at 12 noon. The FIA has also sent a second notice to former foreign minister and PTI vice-chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi for November 3.
On the other hand, FIA Lahore has issued a summons notice to Imran Khan for November 7 to investigate the prohibited account case. In which it has been said that Imran Khan had expressed indifference to Tehreek-e-Insaaf’s Lahore account in the Election Commission, while the authorization letter of Imran Khan is attached in the opening form of the account details.
According to sources, FIA Lahore has summoned Imran Khan to give an explanation. It should be noted that earlier TI leaders have also been summoned in the prohibited funding case.
