Former ISI Chief Faiz Hameed arrested for court martial trial

Rawalpindi: Lieutenant General (Retired) Faiz Hameed, the former head of Pakistan’s premier intelligence agency, the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), has been taken into custody to face a court martial trial. “Complying with the orders of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, a detailed court of inquiry was undertaken by the Pakistan Army to ascertain the validity of complaints made against Lieutenant Gen Faiz Hameed (Retd) in the Top City Case. Consequently, appropriate disciplinary action has been initiated against him under the provisions of the Pakistan Army Act,” read an ISPR press release.
