GDRFA Dubai hosts ‘Sports for All’ event for labor community

Dubai’s labor community took center stage as the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA Dubai) organized a lively “Sports for All” event to mark the conclusion of the Dubai Fitness Challenge 30×30. The gathering, held on Sunday, November 30, at Al Tawar Lake Park-4, attracted workers from diverse companies and nationalities.

Senior officials, including Major General Obaid Muhair bin Suroor, Assistant Director General of GDRFA Dubai, and Colonel Omar Matar Al Muzainah, Assistant Director of the Labor Regulation Sector, attended the event and even joined participants in the running race—an act that brought added energy and excitement to the day.

Workers competed in multiple categories such as running, football, tennis and basketball, with authorities presenting trophies and prizes to the winners.

GDRFA Dubai said the initiative aimed to promote a health-centered workplace culture while fostering camaraderie and teamwork within the labor community. Officials noted that the event, aligned with Dubai’s “Health for All” mission, offered workers a refreshing and encouraging environment to engage in physical activity and strengthen community bonds.
