On this auspicious occasion I wish to convey on my own behalf and on behalf of the Government of Pakistan my heartfelt felicitations to all Pakistanis residing in the UAE.
“This day not only reminds us of the untiring efforts of our forefathers, which they undertook for religious, economic, and socio-cultural independence of the generations to come, but also gives us the inspiration to redouble our efforts to make our country and nation strong.
“We acknowledge and salute the untiring efforts of the Muslims of Subcontinent led by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan, whose foresight made Pakistan a reality on August 14, 1947.
“The Pakistani community in the UAE due to its entrepreneurship skills, peace loving nature and hardworking qualities is playing an active and constructive role in the development of Pakistan and UAE. They are law-abiding citizens and contributing their due share in the progress and prosperity of the UAE as a peaceful community.
“Through their hard work and honesty, they not only earn livelihood for their families but also a good name for their country. I urge the Pakistani diaspora in the UAE to continue to work with the same commitment and hard work.
“I would like to extend my sincere felicitations to the Pakistanis living in the UAE on this occasion, and hope that our community, while building on the proud legacy, would continue to strive for progress, prosperity and stability of both UAE and Pakistan.”
