Governor proposes October 8 as date for elections in KP

Peshawar: Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Haji Ghulam Ali has proposed the date for general elections in the province after consultation.

The date of the election has been proposed in the letter written by the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to the Chief Election Commissioner. In the letter, Governor KP suggested October 8 as the date of elections in the province.

It should be noted that an important meeting of the Governor and Election Commission officials has also been held regarding the conduct of elections. It should be remembered that after the decision of the Supreme Court, the Election Commission had decided to hold elections in Punjab and Pakhtunkhwa within the constitutional period.
