Islamabad: The federal government has announced a five-day public holiday across the country on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
Eid al-Fitr holidays will start from Friday, April 21 to Tuesday, April 25. In this regard, a notification has also been issued by the Ministry of Interior.
It should be noted that astronomers and the Research Council of Sawal have predicted that the moon of the month of Shawwal will be visible on the evening of April 21 and said that this year there will be thirty full days of Ramadan in Pakistan.
Khalid Ijaz Mufti, Secretary General of Rawit Hilal Research Council, said that the Rawit Hilal Committee meeting will be held on the evening of Thursday, April 20, to see the moon of Shawwal-ul-Mukarram, but the Eid moon is not likely to be seen that evening, so the 30 days of Eid-ul-Fitr will be completed. It will be celebrated on Saturday 22nd April 2023.
