Islamabad: The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet has approved the expenditure of the Government Hajj Scheme under the Hajj Policy 2023 to Rs 11 lac 75 thousand.
The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) meeting was held under the chairmanship of Finance Minister Ishaq Dar. In the meeting, the summary of Hajj Policy 2023 presented by the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony was reviewed in detail.
It was informed in the meeting that according to the new Hajj policy, the Hajj quota allocated for Pakistan for the year 2023 is Rs 1 lac 79 thousand 210, which will be divided equally between public and private Hajj schemes.
It was informed in the meeting that each of the public and private Hajj schemes will be allocated a quota of 50% for the sponsorship scheme, the interim Hajj package for the northern region for the year 2023 is 11 lac 75 thousand rupees while for the southern region 11 lac 65 thousand rupees has been fixed.
