Govt indicated increase in gas prices

Islamabad: Minister of State for Petroleum Mossadegh Malik has said that not increasing the price of gas is putting a burden on the national treasury.

According to Leading News, the Senate meeting was chaired by Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani. During the question interval in the meeting, the Minister of State for Petroleum Mussadiq Malik said that a total of 3200 million cubic feet per day (MMCFD) of gas is produced in the country, of which 1600 MMCFD is in the gas system. comes

He said that 700 MMCFD gas goes directly to power plants, 1400 MMCFD  gas is needed in the country to burn stoves. Despite the worsening situation this year, gas load shedding was not done in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The Minister of State said that OGRA had proposed to increase the price of gas, but due to inflation, the price of gas was not increased. Must increase.
