High alert in Capital, citizens instructed to carry identity documents

Islamabad: In view of the possible threat of terrorism, the Islamabad Police has put security on high alert across the city and has also instructed the citizens to carry identification documents.

In a statement issued by the Islamabad Police, it has been said that under the security high alert, checking has been increased on the entrance and exit routes of the city including the red zone. Citizens should carry their necessary identification documents while traveling.

Police officials said that citizens should cooperate during checking in red zone and other places, report any suspicious activity on 15 immediately.

Citizens have also been assured that the Islamabad Capital Police is always ready to maintain law and order in the city.
