High-powered committee set up on audio leaks

Islamabad: A high-powered investigation committee has been formed under the chairmanship of Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah in the case of audio leaks of Prime Minister’s House, in which the Director Generals of ISI and IB have also been included.

The notification for the formation of a high-powered committee was issued, according to which the committee will consist of 12 members, including federal ministers Sherry Rehman, Azam Nazir Tarar, Asad Mehmood, Aminul Haq and secretary cabinet division and others.

Along with this, the Director Generals of ISI, IB have also been included in the committee, while it has also been clarified that due to busy schedules, the Director Generals can nominate an officer to represent them.

According to the sources, the FIA ​​was directed to conduct a thorough investigation into the audio of Imran Khan related to the cipher. The high-powered committee will conduct its inquiry and make recommendations on the audio leaks and report to the Prime Minister.

The committee will also review the security of PM House and other government offices including defense agencies during the investigation while investigating all aspects of the cyber security breach. After which action will be taken against those responsible and steps will be taken to secure the Prime Minister’s House in the future.

It should be noted that Shahbaz Sharif announced the establishment of a high-powered investigation committee after the audio leaks of the Prime Minister’s House came to light. He had said that this is a serious violation of security, in such a case no representative of any country will come to Pakistan.
