House of Pops delivers the true taste of Dubai

DUBAI: Dessert lovers heading to Taste of Dubai 2023 will be spoilt for choice with three House of Pops outlets at the region’s biggest foodie festival.

Head close to the VIP or kid’s area and you’ll spot the colourful brand’s iconic happiness bikes, while the Taste of Dubai entrance will be livened up by a House of Pops happiness cart.

House of Pops delivers everyone’s favourite healthy treat on a stick — fruity pops that pack a flavour punch. And this year’s guests at the Taste of Dubai event — set to be held from February 3-5 at Dubai Media City Amphitheatre — will have the chance to try the full range of incredible flavours from this innovative homegrown treat company.

CEO Mazen Kanaan says: “As the event’s exclusive ice pop brand, we are thrilled to offer our tasty treats to discerning foodies from all over the region at Taste of Dubai. The event showcases the best food our great city has to offer — and so we know we are among exalted company.

“What’s important for us is to help people realise that a treat needn’t be unhealthy. Our fruit-filled, organic pops and bars are full of flavour, and taste better than rival products that are often filled with artificial ingredients.”

House of Pops treats are sustainable, and the company’s mission from its outset has been to do things differently. With most treats only containing five ingredients, the award-winning ice pop innovators are taking a bold stance, in a treat market crowded by products with artificial ingredients, additives and flavourings.

“We know the chefs, restaurants and brands at Taste of Dubai all have great passion for food — but our lively licks stand out as a truly healthy treat — that still taste fantastic and feel indulgent,” adds the CEO.

At the event, House of Pops can be found near the Media One hotel entrance, at the centre of the Amphitheatre near the VIP area, and in the kid’s zone.

They are a fun, delicious way to get closer to your ‘five-a-day’ — and with an ever-growing selection of lovingly-crafted tropical and traditional ice pop flavours in its Happiness, Keto, Royal and Dipped range, you’re spoilt for choice, too.

The ice pops are inspired by Mexican paletas — a frozen treat made from fresh fruit. They are the perfect way to hit the refresh button on a hot day. Flavours include classics like chocolate, vanilla and strawberry — but in awesome flavour combos like Mango Passion, Galactic Lime, Blackberry Lemonade and Dragon Colada.

If Keto (high fat, low carb) is your thing, grab one of House of Pop’s keto range, which is more akin to ice cream — but unlike any ice cream you’ve ever tasted before. Featuring organic coconut milk and cream, natural fruits and natural sweeteners, these guilt-free treats also feature vegetable fibre for extra health benefits. You can choose from strawberry, coffee, vanilla or chocolate flavours.

Royal Pops — larger ice cream bars studded with real fruit pieces include indulgent chocolate banana, chocolate strawberry, coconut strawberry and mango strawberry.

Choco-dipped bars are for truly decadent moments — like a food festival — in a range including choco orange, choco chocolate, choco coconut, choco passion and choco strawberry.

“We are in the midst of a great wave of change in the food world. We want to return back to nature, and I think this should be reflected in the offerings at Taste of Dubai. More and more people are turning away from unhealthy snacks. House of Pops is all about happiness, good honest flavours and real food — which we hope everyone will join us in celebrating at the event,” adds the passionate CEO.

Regional food trends are seeing a shift towards more ethical, sustainable and plant-based food choices — and fewer food miles are increasingly important to conscious consumers too. As the region still has high incidences of obesity, diabetes and heart disease, there is growing interest in indulgent treats that come without ill effects on health — such as the exciting House of Pops range.

Perfect as an anytime snack, the pops and ice creams can be eaten at any time without guilt. Imagine having a sweet, indulgent pop straight after a workout, or offering them to the kids, safe in the knowledge there’s no nasties!
