Islamabad: Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has said that appointments to two important positions of Pakistan Army will be done by November 28, if the President of the country obstructs the issue of appointment, then we also have a plan B.
While talking to a TV Show, Federal Finance Minister Senator Ishaq Dar said that the appointment of Chairman Joint Chief of Staff will be done before 27th while the two appointments can be made on two different days. It is hoped that the whole process will be completed by 28th November.
In response to a question, he said that if the President tries to obstruct the appointment of the Army Chief, then we have a ‘Plan B’.
Answering the question about the retirement of Lt. Gen. Asim Munir on November 27, Ishaq Dar said that we have a solution for this as well.
Discussing the economic situation of the country, he said that there is no risk of the country defaulting and all payments will be made on time. Regarding negotiations with Tehreek-e-Insaaf, he said that we are ready for negotiations, but these negotiations should be unconditional.
