ISLAMABAD: The Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) will observe a complete shutdown on Wednesday (Feb 15) as a protest against India’s Hindutva policies to displace the Kashmiri people from their properties.
While giving the call for the strike, All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) said in a press release, issued in Srinagar, that Modi’s land grab policy is meant to erase Kashmiris’ identity and its Muslim character besides being a blatant attempt to push settler colonialism in the territory.
An APHC spokesperson urged the Kashmiris to foster unity and not allow the BJP-RSS nexus to snatch away their motherland through despotic measures and convert the Muslim majority into a minority.
Reviving pre-Islamic Hindu civilisation in IIOJK is the goal of BJP and RSS, the APHC spokesman said, adding that India’s illegal actions of August 5, 2019 are aimed at fulfilling the same Hindutva agenda of the ruling dispensation.
