Islamabad: Head of the International Monetary Fund, Cristalina, contacted Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif by phone and reiterated her commitment to help Pakistan in difficult times.
According to the announcement issued by the Prime Minister’s House, Kristalina Georgieva, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), contacted Shehbaz Sharif by telephone.
MDIMF expressed its heartfelt sympathy and concern over the loss of life and property due to the floods while reiterating its commitment to help Pakistan in this difficult time.
The Prime Minister invited MDIMF to participate in the Climate Resilient Pakistan Conference in Geneva. On which Kristalina said that IMF Board meetings are scheduled on January 9 and 10, she will participate in the conference online.
On this occasion, the Prime Minister assured that Pakistan is committed to successfully complete the ongoing program of the IMF. Shahbaz Sharif thanked MDIMF for understanding and sympathizing with the challenges faced by Pakistan.
