Impossible to remain silent on foreign conspiracy, Army Chief

Rawalpindi: Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa has said that the tragedy of East Pakistan was a political failure, it is impossible and a great sin for the armed forces to remain silent on foreign conspiracy.

Defense and Martyrs Day ceremony held at GHQ (General Headquarters) Rawalpindi in which dignitaries, diplomats, civil and military officials, families of martyrs and Ghazi participated.

On this occasion, General Bajwa visited the Martyrs’ Memorial, laid wreaths and recited Fatiha.

Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa addressed the participants of the ceremony and said that the families of the martyrs will never be left alone, the first task of the army is to defend its borders.

He said that those who think that they will create a rift between the army and the people will always fail. And every political party has to accept its defeat and victory so that in the next elections there is an elected government instead of an elected or imported government.

General Qamar Javed Bajwa further said that in the name of democracy, courage, tolerance and respect for public opinion, there is a lot of criticism on the army engaged in service day and night due to the interference of the army in politics for 70 years, which It is unconstitutional, criticism is the right of citizens and politicians, but the choice of words should be better.
