Imran Khan, Bushra Bibi and others Booked in Triple Murder Case

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, his wife Bushra Bibi, and top party leaders have been named in a triple murder case involving the death of three Rangers personnel during a protest last month.

The FIR, filed at Islamabad’s Ramna Police Station, claims the incident was part of a plan made at Adiala Jail, where Imran Khan has been in custody for over a year. The report states that the Rangers personnel lost their lives “on the instructions of the PTI founder,” with some jail inmates and undercover police as witnesses.

Key PTI leaders, including former KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, Opposition Leader Omar Ayub Khan, Murad Saeed, Zulfi Bukhari, and others, were also named in the case. The FIR alleges that Bushra Bibi and others encouraged people to rebel against the armed forces and government through a video message, which led to the tragic event.

The incident reportedly occurred when an unknown driver rammed a vehicle into the Rangers personnel during the protest. The case includes charges under terrorism laws and ten sections of the Pakistan Penal Code.

The protest, organized by PTI to demand Imran Khan’s release, ended abruptly after a government crackdown. Fierce clashes between law enforcement and protesters left several injured. PTI claims 12 of its workers were killed and 1,000 arrested, but the government denies using live ammunition and reports that four security officials, including three Rangers and one policeman, were killed.
