Imran Khan won the NA 45 by-election

Kurram: Imran Khan defeated the PDM candidate in the by-election in National Assembly Constituency NA-45 Kurram.

The main contest for the by-election in National Assembly Constituency NA-45 Karam was between Imran Khan and PDM’s joint candidate Jameel Chamkani. The number of registered voters in the constituency is one lac 98 thousand 618, which includes 111349 male and 87269 female voters.

Polling continued from nine in the morning to five in the evening at all 143 polling stations in the constituency. No untoward incident occurred during this time.

Inconclusive unofficial results

After the polling time was over, the counting process was completed, according to the unofficial results of 143 polling stations in the constituency, Imran Khan stood first with 20,748 votes while PDM candidate Jameel Khan Chamkani stood second with 12,718 votes. .

In this constituency, the chairman of PTI faced a joint candidate of eleven political parties in the government coalition, in which Imran Khan won by a large margin.

District Election Commissioner Abdul Rauf Khan says that 24 polling stations of the constituency have been declared highly sensitive and 119 sensitive. Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner has said that the necessary arrangements including security at the polling stations have been completed satisfactorily.

The Election Commission has issued a second notice to Imran Khan for violating the code of conduct in NA-45. The Election Commission said that action will be taken in case of non-appearance.

In response to the notice, Imran Khan’s lawyer appeared in District Monitoring Officer Karam’s office. The lawyer replied that Imran Khan has been summoned by the Election Commission to Islamabad on November 1. The District Monitoring Officer has retained Imran Khan to appear before the Election Commission.

Fine on Tehsil Chairman Razmak

Meanwhile, District Monitoring Officer Karam termed Tehsil Chairman Razmak’s explanation as unsatisfactory. District Monitoring Officer Karam fined tehsil chairman Razmak 20 thousand rupees and directed him to deposit 20 thousand rupees in the national treasury.
