Lahore: Governor Punjab Balighur Rehman has claimed that PTI chief Imran Khan will take a U-turn on the issue of dissolution of assemblies like in the past.
According to Leading News, Punjab Governor Balighur Rahman while commenting on the issue of dissolution of the assemblies on behalf of the chairman PTI said that it is hoped that Imran Khan will take a U-turn on the dissolution of the assemblies like in the past, because Parvez Elahi does not want to break the divine assembly.
He said that Pervaizalhi has the constitutional right to send a summary of dissolution of the assembly, while I have the authority, as the governor, I will take a decision within 48 hours after receiving the summary. And I can ask the Chief Minister to take a vote of confidence at any time.
Balighur Rahman said that he said that the coalition parties are ready for the elections but for economic stability it is necessary that the elections should be held on time.
Speaking to the foreign media at the Governor House, Governor Punjab said that the Muslim League-N and its allied parties are not afraid of the elections, we are always ready to go to the people, but our first priority is to bring economic stability to the country. Economic situation will improve in next few months.
He said that there are backdoor contacts between the government and the opposition, but the backdoor talks cannot be made public.
Balighur Rehman confirmed the talks and said that Imran Khan’s conspiracy story has been buried, Imran Khan is in contact with the President and Ishaq Dar. Talks of negotiations cannot be made public.
The governor of Punjab said that he wants the best relations with India, but the decision on the trade between Pakistan and India has to be made by the federal government.
He said that Imran Khan used to pray for the success of Narendra Modi, he used to say that only Modi will help in the liberation of Kashmir. Support one party in another country’s politics.
Governor Balighur Rehman further said that Imran Khan has offended many friendly countries which we are trying to celebrate today and we have also succeeded in this.
