Imran’s application against Tosha Khana reference decision set for hearing

Lahore: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan has filed a petition to withdraw the petition filed against disqualification in the Tosha Khana case, which will be heard by the Chief Justice Islamabad High Court on Thursday, January 19.

According to Leading News, Imran Khan filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court through the mediation of Barrister Ali Zafar to withdraw the petition against the disqualification decision in the Tosha Khana reference case.

It is stated in the petition that the Lahore High Court has constituted a full bench in the petition against the Tosha Khana decision of the Election Commission, and has challenged the action of the Election Commission of October 21 in the Lahore High Court to remove the party chairman.

In the application, Imran Khan took a stand that the full bench of the Lahore High Court will review all legal aspects related to both the applications. The court is requested to withdraw the application.

On behalf of Imran Khan, Chief Justice Amir Farooq will hear the application against the Tosha Khana reference decision tomorrow.

It should be noted that in the previous hearing, the judge had expressed his indignation over the concealment of the petition filed in the Lahore High Court. The Chief Justice had remarked that this conduct was not expected from a senior lawyer like Barrister Ali Zafar. I have asked for an answer yesterday.
