ISLAMABAD: Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, met with the Ambassador of Lebanon, Abdullaziz Issa, at the CDA Headquarters on Wednesday. The meeting focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation and strengthening city-level ties between Islamabad and Beirut.
Chairman Randhawa said that Pakistan holds Lebanon in high regard and expressed a desire to further solidify the sister city relationship between the two capitals.
Ambassador Issa appreciated CDA’s efforts in maintaining Islamabad’s beauty and development, describing it as “an extraordinarily green and naturally beautiful city.” He remarked that the city’s greenery and cleanliness were “remarkably impressive.”
Randhawa reaffirmed CDA’s commitment to making Islamabad even more beautiful and sustainable, noting that the Margalla Hills further enhance the capital’s natural charm. He highlighted that Islamabad was developed under a master plan in 1960 and remains a model of modern urban planning.

The CDA chairman also shared that a plan is under consideration to relocate all diplomatic missions to the Diplomatic Enclave, which is being upgraded with new recreational and sports facilities as part of the city’s ongoing beautification drive.
Both sides reiterated their resolve to expand cooperation in urban development, culture, and environmental initiatives, fostering closer relations between Islamabad and Beirut.
