Islamabad United delivered a dominating performance in the fifth match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10, thrashing Peshawar Zalmi by a massive margin of 102 runs at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
After winning the toss and opting to bat first, Islamabad United piled up a colossal total of 244 runs, thanks to a scintillating century from Sahibzada Farhan. The opener played a breathtaking knock, smashing 106 off just 52 deliveries, including 13 fours and five sixes. He was well-supported by Colin Munro, who added 40 runs during their 144-run partnership.
Contributions from Azam Khan (16), Salman Ali Agha (30), Jason Holder (20*), and Ben Dwarshuis (18*) propelled United to one of the highest team totals of the season. For Peshawar, Hussain Talat and Alzarri Joseph claimed two wickets each.
In response, Peshawar Zalmi faltered early and never recovered from the pressure of the huge target. Star batter and skipper Babar Azam failed to make an impact once again, falling cheaply. Mohammad Haris stood tall with a fighting 87, but found little support from the rest of the lineup as Zalmi were bundled out for 141.
