ON October 11, IWPG (International Women’s Peace Group) Global Region 2 held an online exchange meeting with Josiane Hajj Moussa, head of Beirut Times in Lebanon.
Beirut Times is a magazine providing media services across Arab and European countries, as well as through overseas and regional Arabic channels and platforms.
During the meeting, Global Region 2 introduced IWPG’s peace activities and discussed directions for promoting the signing of an MOA, realizing peace, and advancing the ‘Peace Lecturer Training Education’ (PLTE).
Josiane Hajj Moussa remarked, “I am touched by IWPG’s vision and its practical peace activities that transcend race, nationality, and borders,” and expressed her commitment to “spreading the spirit of peace to women through enrolling in PLTE.”
Meanwhile, IWPG is a global women’s NGO registered with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and the Department of Global Communications (DGC). It operates 114 branches across 122 countries, with over 730 partner organisations in 66 countries. With a vision of “achieving sustainable world peace,” IWPG actively promotes essential solidarity, spreads a culture of peace, conducts women’s peace education, and advocates for the support and legislation of the ‘Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War’ (DPCW).
