Jhang: In a powerful show of unity and patriotism, thousands of citizens gathered at the Shrine of Hazrat Sultan Bahoo in Shorkot, Jhang, to create a spectacular human formation of the J-10C fighter jet — a tribute to the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) and the nation’s strategic allies following Pakistan’s decisive military response to Indian aggression.
Organised by the MUSLIM Institute, the event was held to celebrate and honour the armed forces for their exemplary performance during the recent conflict with India. The formation specifically acknowledged the role of the PAF’s J-10C fighter aircraft, credited with downing at least three Indian Air Force Rafale jets during the operation.
Participants also paid tribute to Pakistan’s close allies — China, Turkey, and Azerbaijan — for their diplomatic and strategic support during the escalation.
The gathering drew widespread attention, as images of the aerial formation quickly circulated on social media, becoming a symbol of national pride and solidarity amid heightened tensions between the nuclear-armed neighbours.

Escalation and Response
The tribute follows the end of the worst military confrontation between India and Pakistan in nearly three decades. The four-day conflict, which began last Wednesday, saw intense exchanges of air and missile strikes after India targeted what it claimed were “terrorist infrastructure” sites in Pakistan.
The Indian strike came in the aftermath of an April 22 attack on tourists in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, which resulted in 26 deaths. Pakistan strongly denied any involvement, accusing New Delhi of targeting civilian areas under the guise of counterterrorism.
In response, Pakistan launched “Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos”, a large-scale and coordinated military campaign targeting Indian military installations and command centres across multiple regions. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) described Pakistan’s response as “precise, proportionate, and calculated,” aimed at deterring further aggression.
Global Concerns and Ceasefire
The escalation prompted widespread concern from the international community, with fears that the conflict could spiral into a broader war. Diplomatic efforts led by the United States culminated in a ceasefire announcement last Saturday, temporarily de-escalating the situation.
The tribute event in Jhang served as both a celebration of Pakistan’s armed forces and a reminder of the fragile peace. Organisers stated the human formation was meant to reinforce national unity and show gratitude toward nations that stood by Pakistan during the crisis.
