UAE: Jameel Motors, a leading mobility solutions provider and partner to top automotive brands, hosted an exclusive showcase of Farizon’s latest commercial electric vehicle (EV) transport solutions, marking a major step in expanding its EV portfolio as the UAE’s commercial transport market moves rapidly toward electrification.
The event featured a power panel discussion titled “Driving UAE’s Commercial Future”, which brought together key industry leaders, including Zeeshan Gaus, Head of Product – Mobility at Jameel Motors; Olga Shevorenkova, CEO of Loop Global; and François Carlier, Deputy Director at Al Shirawi Industries. The discussion explored the market potential, operational challenges, opportunities, and regulatory frameworks shaping the integration of commercial EVs across the UAE.
The showcase presented Farizon’s flagship fleet of commercial vans, light trucks, and heavy trucks, which are expected to hit UAE roads by 2026.
“The UAE commercial vehicle market represents a huge opportunity for electric solutions, with growing demand from logistics companies, e-commerce providers, and forward-thinking corporations,” said Zeeshan Gaus. “Farizon’s innovative technology and versatile range position us to meet this demand while supporting the UAE’s sustainability goals. The question isn’t whether EVs will disrupt commercial transportation — it’s how quickly we can scale.”
The showcase comes as the UAE’s commercial EV market experiences rapid expansion. The sector is projected to grow from $2.61 billion in 2025 to $3.95 billion by 2030, with the commercial EV segment growing at about 35% annually. This growth is supported by the UAE’s Net Zero by 2050 strategic plan and the National Electric Fleet Vehicles Policy (2023), which aims for electric and hybrid vehicles to make up 50% of all vehicles by 2050, and 10% by 2030.
Infrastructure development is also accelerating. Abu Dhabi’s E2GO joint venture between ADNOC and TAQA plans to install 70,000 EV charging points by 2030, while Dubai’s DEWA continues to expand its Green Charging Station network.
Corporate initiatives are complementing government efforts. The Road 2.0 program, endorsed by the UAE government, brings together 17 major companies — including Aramex, Unilever, and Talabat — to deploy 6,000 zero-emission vehicles by 2030 and 20,000 by 2040.

Transport currently contributes over 22% of the UAE’s total greenhouse gas emissions, making commercial vehicle electrification essential to national decarbonisation goals. Dubai’s RTA aims for a 100% electric and hydrogen taxi and limousine fleet by 2040, while Abu Dhabi’s Integrated Transport Centre launched its Green Bus Assessment in 2023.
Jameel Motors said the Farizon showcase reaffirmed its commitment to delivering innovative, sustainable, and advanced commercial mobility solutions, expanding customer choice while advancing the UAE’s green transport transition.
