Lahore: The JIT has summoned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf Chairman and former Prime Minister Imran Khan at 4 pm today (Tuesday) to investigate the May 9 violent incidents.
Sources say that the JIT headed by DIG Kamran Khan has summoned Imran Khan in connection with the investigation of the arson in Jinnah House and Askari Tower.
According to sources, Imran Khan has been summoned to the DIG Investigation Office Qila Gujar Singh where he will be questioned on the May 9 incidents.
Sources say that Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan has received a summons notice in the JIT, on which he has also consulted with his legal team. Imran Khan will appear before the JIT today or not. The decision could not be made.
It may be recalled that the Punjab government had formed 10 different JITs on the May 9 incidents, Imran Khan is named in the cases registered in police stations including Sarwar Road, Shadman and Race Course.
