Salalah: In the Junior Asia Hockey Cup, the Pakistani team reached the semi-finals by defeating Japan.
The teams of Pakistan and Japan faced each other in the important match of the Junior Asia Hockey Cup in Salalah, Oman, in which the national junior team defeated Japan by three goals to two and qualified for the semi-finals.
Apart from this, Pakistan also qualified for the Junior Hockey World Cup.
Pakistan’s first goal was scored by Arbaaz Ahmed through a penalty corner in the 23rd minute. Then Abdul Wahab scored two consecutive goals in the 30th and 39th minutes.
Pakistan will play a semi-final match against Malaysia on June 1, while Korea and India will compete in the other semi-final.
It should be noted that Malaysia has already qualified for the World Cup as the host of the Junior World Cup, the remaining three semi-finalist teams will also qualify for the World Cup. The final of the Junior World Cup will be held on December 27 in Kuala Lumpur.
