Karachi: The Karachi police have intensified their efforts to combat the issue of illegal Afghan immigration, resulting in the arrest of 123 Afghan nationals who entered the city without legal permission.
Through a series of coordinated operations, law enforcement agencies apprehended 45 of the 123 illegal Afghan immigrants in different locations within the Korangi District, 18 in the East District, 34 in the West District, 9 by City police, 14 in the Malir District, and 2 by Defence police.
Irfan Bahadur, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) for East Karachi, stated that district police executed these operations, successfully apprehending 123 Afghan individuals who had been residing in the metropolis without proper legal authorization.
Bahadur further indicated that cases have been registered against these individuals under the relevant sections of the Foreigners Act, addressing the issue of illegal immigration with legal measures.
