Dubai: In a remarkable achievement for the UAE’s transport sector, Keolis MHI Rail Management and Operations LLC, the operator of Dubai Metro and Dubai Tram, proudly announced that two of its Emirati team members have been recognized at the Nafis Awards 2025 — one of the country’s most prestigious programs celebrating exceptional Emirati professionals in the private sector.
Hamad Al Shehhi, Operation Control Center Senior Controller, secured first place in the Specialized Jobs category for his exceptional professional performance and his key role in enhancing monitoring and operational systems at Keolis MHI.
Meanwhile, Eng. Maryam Al Marzooqi achieved third place in the Engineering Jobs category, honoring her outstanding contributions to improving the company’s technical and engineering systems.
This recognition by the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council (Nafis) underscores Keolis MHI’s commitment to Emiratisation and its active role in supporting the UAE Government’s vision of strengthening the competitiveness of Emiratis in the private sector.

In 2024, Keolis MHI promoted 24 UAE Nationals to senior positions as part of its continuous efforts to nurture national talent. Emirati women now represent 56% of the company’s total national workforce and hold 21% of senior leadership positions — reflecting Keolis MHI’s firm dedication to gender equality and women’s empowerment.
