London: Defence Minister Khawaja Asif reported to London police after being threatened and harassed on a train while visiting the UK. According to Asif, he was traveling on the Elizabeth Line on November 11, 2024, when a group of individuals harassed him, filmed him without consent, used abusive language, and threatened him with a knife.
The London Transport Police is investigating and reviewing CCTV footage to identify the people involved.
Asif condemned the incident, saying that such actions were not only shameful but disappointing for the 1.7 million British-Pakistani citizens living in the UK. Similar cases have recently targeted other Pakistani officials and political figures in London, including former Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa and Judge Humayun Dilawar.
