KP Cabinet Approves Eid Package and Development Initiatives

Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) cabinet, led by Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, has greenlit a comprehensive Eid package. This decision was made during a pivotal cabinet meeting chaired by CM Gandapur, signaling the government’s commitment to supporting vulnerable segments of society.

The approved Eid package encompasses an allocation of Rs 1.150 billion, earmarked to extend aid to those in need. Under this initiative, Rs. 10,000 will be disbursed to 1,000 deserving individuals in each provincial constituency, amounting to a substantial assistance of over Rs. 1 billion. This move reflects the government’s dedication to ensuring that the joyous occasion of Eid is accessible to all, irrespective of economic disparities.

Furthermore, the cabinet has allocated an Eid package of Rs. 10,000 for the families of over 2,000 police martyrs, honoring their sacrifices and providing crucial support during the festive period.

In parallel, the cabinet has given the green light to the Annual Development Programme (ADP) scheme, allocating funds totaling Rs. 7.67 billion. These funds will be utilized for the procurement of vehicles and modern equipment, bolstering the operational capabilities of the police force in the merged districts. This strategic investment underscores the government’s unwavering commitment to enhancing security infrastructure across the province.

In a move to ensure transparency and efficiency in recruitment processes, the cabinet has formed a dedicated committee to address concerns regarding the procurement of screening tests from private testing agencies. This initiative reflects the government’s proactive approach towards streamlining administrative procedures and fostering accountability.

Moreover, in a significant stride towards digital transformation, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Cabinet has endorsed the Digital Right of Way Policy. This forward-thinking policy marks a pivotal step towards accelerating digital infrastructure development in the province, facilitating seamless connectivity and technological advancement.
